Study Tip: Send Audio Messages Instead of Texts

Capture Your Voice & Replay Messages

Try using audio messages (such as what’s available in iMessage or WhatsApp) with Spanish speakers whenever you can. In our experience, this is a common way that many Spanish speakers communicate!

For Spanish learners, audio messages are a way of capturing your voice in a moment when you have something organic to express. You can’t usually hear a recording of yourself speaking in real-life conversations, but with audio messages, you can! You can learn a lot by going back to listen to yourself. It’s also a great opportunity to receive audio messages from native speakers. Repeat the message as many times as you want and learn their accent and intonation.

Everything in the conversation is unique to you and what you’re doing at that moment - there is no better way to learn!
