Students, Teachers, and Locals Embrace Multicultural Experiences!
It has been so fun to see students and teachers running into each other at Café Puente since its opening on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Some of our teachers joined in the fun at the Micrófono Abierto en Español (Open Mic in Spanish). Marian, our incredible teacher from Spain, was feeling the energy of the moment and decided to hop up on the microphone with Marcos Mendoza, a local Mexican musician and regular at Café Puente. Marcos played guitar and they both sang “Pa’l todo el año” by José Alfredo Jimenez – it was a beautiful multicultural moment!
For our current students, remember that if you come to Café Puente you will likely see some of our teachers there. This makes for an extra encouraging and safe environment to practice your Spanish. And they will probably introduce you to some other native speakers at the café!
